AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND REMEDIATION OF OTHER HAZARDOUS MATERIALS FROM WATER AND SEWER LINES IN BELEN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred twenty thousand dollars ($420,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to abate asbestos and remediate other hazardous materials from water and sewer lines on Mesa road in Belen in Valencia county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
