AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE DEVELOPMENT, OPERATION AND TRAINING FUNDING FOR THE EMERCADO-NM VENDOR ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM TO RETAIN DOLLARS IN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide operational and development funds to continue training for and expansion of use of the statewide eMercado-NM vendor enhancement system that coordinates purchasing conducted by large volume purchasers so that their business remains in New Mexico with New Mexico vendors. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
