AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO FUND THE OPERATION OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLE WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITIES AT HIGHWAY REST AREAS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to operate and maintain recreational vehicle waste disposal facilities at state highway rest areas where those waste disposal facilities currently exist but have been closed. Any unencumbered or unexpended balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
