AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INDIGENT VETERANS HOUSING ON THE NAVAJO NATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide funding for housing in New Mexico for indigent veterans on the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
