AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PEACE CONFERENCE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Martin Luther King, Jr. commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to pay for a peace conference to be held in Santa Fe and planned in cooperation with the King center in Atlanta, Georgia. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
