AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SPECIAL STUDENT PROJECTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. One hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to support the special programs office in the following amounts for the following projects:

                (1) thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) for minority graduate recruitment and retention;

                (2) thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) for youth recreation and education;

                (3) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for youth leadership and development; and

                (4) twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for college preparation and mentoring.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
