AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SERVE ADDITIONAL PERSONS IN THE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED AND DISABLED AND ELDERLY MEDICAID WAIVER PROGRAMS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Ten million dollars ($10,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 as follows:

                (1) five million dollars ($5,000,000) to the department of health to provide services to additional persons eligible for the developmentally disabled medicaid waiver program who are not currently enrolled in the program due to insufficient program funding; and

                (2) five million dollars ($5,000,000) to the aging and long-term services department to provide services to additional persons eligible for the disabled and elderly medicaid waiver program who are not currently enrolled in the program due to insufficient funding.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
