AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR UPGRADES OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT FACILITIES TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1990.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six million eight hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($6,835,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to upgrade cultural affairs department facilities to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
