SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 443 appropriates $25 thousand to develop and implement the first annual New Mex-
ico Youth Day. The bill contains an emergency clause.
Significant Issues
New Mexico Youth Day would be held on the first Saturday of August to help support all New
Mexico students and families and engage them in a positive way to begin each school year.
House Bill 443 proposes to expand the Albuquerque program into a statewide Youth Day pro-
gram. Youth Day will promote a day for parents and youth to share time together and share
