Senate Joint Memorial 68 – Proclaiming March 7, 2005 as "Santa Fe Community College Day"
at the Legislature – notes that:
each year, Santa Fe Community College serves fourteen thousand five hundred
students from throughout northern and central New Mexico;
Santa Fe Community College offers a wide range of educational programs and
services to meet the needs of business, government and a diverse population;
Santa Fe Community College is a comprehensive college that enhances the qual-
ity of lives by providing academic, career and personal-enrichment programs;
the Santa Fe Community College curricula assists students, including adult stu-
dents, to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure a successful fu-
ture through associate degrees, transfer curricula, certificates and letters of quali-
fication linked to their continued education and work force training;

Santa Fe Community College has nurtured and fostered a student-centered edu-
cational environment; and
Santa Fe Community College and its governing board, administration, faculty
and staff believe strongly in the mission of the college, which is "helping stu-

The memorial resolves that March 7, 2005 be proclaimed "Santa Fe Community College Day" at
the legislature to honor and showcase the contribution and commitment of Santa Fe Community
College to the surrounding communities.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
The memorial further resolves that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to the president of
Santa Fe Community College.
