SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Joint Memorial 65 urges the United States congress to end the economic embargo against
Cuba, normalize diplomatic relations, and repeal the travel restrictions. The Joint Memorial also
urges the president to use actual evidence and not political factors to review the placement of
Cuba on the list of terrorist countries. The Joint Memorial is to be transmitted to each member
of the New Mexico Congressional delegation.
OTHER SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES
EDD states the Joint Memorial reports the governor of New Mexico has stated his desire to ex-
pand international trade and the democratic party of New Mexico has adopted a similar resolu-
tion.
