committees of the NM Legislature. The LFC does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of these reports

if they are used for other purposes.

Current FIRs (in HTML & Adobe PDF formats) are a vailable on the NM Legislative Website (legis.state.nm.us).

Adobe PDF versions include all attachments, whereas HTML versions may not. Previously issued FIRs and

attachments may be obtained from the LFC in Suite 101 of the State Capitol Building North.

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Resolution 3 requests the Senate consider the proposition to repeal two existing laws for

each law passed by the Senate.

Significant Issues

Senate Resolution 3 requires the Committees’ Committee to name a select committee to study

the proposition and propose changes to the Senate rules and that the select committee report its

findings to the body prior to the 30

th

day of the session.

ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS

LCS will be responsible for drafting bills designated for repeal. LFC will be responsible for pre-

paring a fiscal impact report for bills designated for repeal.

RELATIONSHIP

This bill relates to Senate Resolution 5 which proposes to amend the Senate Rules to allow Sena-

tors to designate up to 5 bills, resolutions or memorials as priority legislation.
