AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SYMPHONIC MUSIC FOR PUBLIC CONCERTS AND EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a program that provides symphonic music for public concerts in communities in northern New Mexico and educational performances in northern New Mexico public schools. The program shall be conducted by orchestras located in Santa Fe. The educational performances in schools may include performances by ensembles of less than orchestra size and solo instruments with accompaniment. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
