AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO DEVELOP A TRANSITION PLAN FOR COURT CONSOLIDATION IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the courts for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to develop a step-by-step implementation plan for court consolidation and creation of a metropolitan court in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
