AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--On the effective date of this act, five million dollars ($5,000,000) is transferred from the general fund to the teacher professional development fund to fund teacher professional development. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
