AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR READING MATERIALS FOR HEAD START AND SENIOR CENTER PROGRAMS AT THE BECENTI CHAPTER OF THE NAVAJO NATION IN MCKINLEY COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to purchase reading materials for head start and senior center programs at the Becenti chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
