AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS TO STUDY THE CREATION OF A STATEWIDE TRACKING SYSTEM FOR CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a study that analyzes and makes recommendations to the New Mexico crimes against children task force and to the appropriate interim legislative committee no later than November 1, 2006 regarding the creation of a statewide tracking system for crimes against children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
