FOR THE COURTS, CORRECTIONS AND JUSTICE COMMITTEE

 

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAMS IN THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Thirty-six thousand dollars ($36,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the second judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund family violence prevention programs in the second judicial district in the following amounts:

                (1) eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) to fund the say no to abusing power program; and

                (2) eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) to fund the empowerment of girls program.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
