AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF WORKFORCE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT TO FUND A SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PILOT PROGRAM IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of workforce training and development for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 to fund a summer youth employment pilot program in Colfax, Mora, San Miguel and Taos counties. The pilot program shall serve as a model for a statewide summer youth employment program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
