AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO ELDERLY PERSONS SEEKING TO REMAIN IN THEIR OWN HOMES IN THE CITY OF RIO RANCHO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eight thousand dollars ($108,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2007 for a federal demonstration project known as "naturally occurring retirement communities" and to contract with a collaboration of community service providers to provide a coordinated array of services to elderly persons seeking to remain in their own homes through this demonstration project in the city of Rio Rancho. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
