AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR A COMPREHENSIVE HYDROGEOLOGIC STUDY OF THE SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 through 2010 to fund a comprehensive hydrogeologic study of the Sacramento mountains by the Otero soil and water conservation district, provided that all work funded through this appropriation shall be coordinated with the bureau of geology and mineral resources and the office of the state engineer. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
