House Floor Amendment #1 to House Joint Memorial 55 adds the American Subcontractors’ As-
sociation of New Mexico to the task force that the joint memorial requests be formed.
Synopsis of House Joint Memorial 55
House Joint Memorial 55 requests the Governor to form a task force to study the relationship be-
tween funding and industry growth and to determine how the Occupational Health and Safety
Bureau (OHSB) can effectively respond to growth and declines in the construction industry.
The task force members will include:
- The Bureau Chief of OHSB
- Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) or designee
- Associated General Contractors Building Branch Partnership
- Associated Builders and Contractors of New Mexico
- National Utility Contractors Association of NM Alliance
- Other members as appointed by the Governor
