AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BUREAU OF ELECTIONS FOR NATIVE AMERICAN VOTER EDUCATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the bureau of elections in the office of the secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for voter education for Native Americans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
