AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR A FULL-TIME MECHANIC IN DISTRICT SIX.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund a full-time position for a mechanic to service vehicles in district six. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of the fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
