    Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 260

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 19, strike "MAKING AN APPROPRIATION;".

     2. On page 4, line 19, after "school" insert "; provided, however, that the maximum reimbursement from the state shall be no more than three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) for fiscal year 2009, five hundred sixty-two thousand five hundred dollars ($562,500) for fiscal year 2010 and seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) for fiscal year 2011 and subsequent fiscal years".

     3. On page 5, line 9, after the period insert "No money shall be made available to the New Mexico school for the arts prior to charter authorization.".

     4. On page 5, strike Section 8 in its entirety.

     5. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
