    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 317

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 10, strike "curricula for" and insert in

 lieu thereof "development of".

     2. On page 2, line 11, after "institute" insert "program".

     3. On page 2, line 14, strike "and".

     4. On page 2, line 15, after the closing parenthesis, insert "selection of certified advanced placement".

     5. On page 2, line 15, strike the period and closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and" and between lines 15 and 16, insert the following new paragraph:

                "(4) strategies for expansion of pre-advanced placement and advanced placement programs throughout New Mexico."".

     6. On page 2, line 21, strike "state and federal".

     7. On page 3, line 7, strike "and".

     8. On page 3, line 9, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon and between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new paragraphs:

                "(3) provide for distance delivery of pre-advanced placement and advanced placement courses; and

                (4) provide other professional development activities recommended by the advanced placement advisory board.".

      9. On page 3, line 20, before the period insert "beginning no later than the 2008-2009 school year".,                          

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
