AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ANNUAL BORDER BOOK FESTIVAL IN MESILLA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal years 2007 and 2008 for planning, implementation, marketing and outreach programs associated with the annual border book festival in Mesilla in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
