    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 653

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 2, line 2, strike "twenty thousand dollars ($20,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000)".

     2. On page 2, line 4, after "government" insert "but does not include an act of peaceful protest or civil disobedience".

     3. On page 2, strike lines 5 through 8 in their entirety and reletter subsequent subsections accordingly.

     4. On page 4, lines 24 and 25, strike "knife, box cutter or similar device, a".

     5. On page 5, lines 3 and 4, strike "a civil disorder," and insert in lieu thereof "an".

     6. On page 5, lines 12 and 13, strike "knife, box cutter or similar device, a".

     7. On page 5, lines 16 and 17, strike "a civil disorder," and insert in lieu thereof "an".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
