AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NON-NATIVE PHREATOPHYTE REMOVAL AND RIPARIAN RESTORATION IN SAN JUAN COUNTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to manage and administer, with the advice and participation of the San Juan soil and water conservation district and pursuant to the state non-native phreatophyte/watershed management plan, the non-native phreatophyte removal and riparian restoration program in San Juan county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
