AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR WHEAT RESEARCH.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the cooperative extension service to conduct wheat variety research trials and establish test plots at agricultural science centers in Clovis, Farmington and Las Cruces. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
