AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO WILD FRIENDS PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

          Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the wild friends program at the institute of public law's center for wildlife law to help students from fourth through twelfth grades understand the democratic process, develop good citizenship skills and contribute to wildlife conservation by involving them in public policy projects. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
