AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR UNCOMPENSATED HIGH-RISK PERINATAL CARE IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to provide payment for perinatal services, including prenatal, delivery and postnatal, for uninsured low-income pregnant women with high-risk conditions in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
