AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEW MEXICO DENTAL STUDENT FUNDING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 and subsequent fiscal years to expand the number of slots available for dental students in the western interstate commission for higher education programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
