AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEXT GENERATION FUND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ten million dollars ($10,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the next generation fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to promote positive child and youth development and prevent the abuse and neglect of children pursuant to the Children's Trust Fund Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
