AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HIGH-TECHNOLOGY MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS AT PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for the mid-region council of governments to establish a high-technology mentoring program at five public high schools. The mid-region council of governments shall adopt an application process for high schools to apply for the mentorship program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
