    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 438

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, strike "AN ELECTRONIC SOBRIETY" and insert in lieu thereof "PERIODIC".

    2. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike "DEVICE FOR" and insert in lieu thereof "OF".

    3. On page 9, line 12, after "order" insert "appropriate periodic monitoring of" and strike "to obtain and use,".

    4. On page 9, line 14, after "section" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 15 and 16 and insert in lieu thereof a period and:

    "The periodic monitoring alternative is for purposes of monitoring only and is not a punishment.".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
