AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NATIONAL CAVE AND KARST RESEARCH INSTITUTE AT NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Thirty-six thousand dollars ($36,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for New Mexico institute of mining and technology's national cave and karst research institute to restore previous cuts and provide the appropriate matching funds as required by the United States national park service. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
