AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO STATE MINE INSPECTOR.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred ten thousand dollars ($210,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to comply with new requirements for emergency response and rescue for a mining accident. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
