    Your CORPORATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 844

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 4, lines 8 and 9, strike "legal or registered".

    2. On page 4, line 11, strike "registered".

    3. On page 4, line 16, strike "registered".

    4. On page 4, line 17, strike "and".

    5. On page 4, line 19, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and

             "(5) to determine the need for or facilitate emergency medical response in the event of a motor vehicle accident.".

    6. On page 4, line 22, strike the ending quotation mark.

    7. On page 4, between lines 22 and 23, insert the following new subsection:

         "D. For the purposes of this section, "owner" means a person having all the incidents of ownership, including the legal title to a vehicle, whether or not such person lends, rents or creates a security interest in the vehicle; a person entitled to

possession of a vehicle as the purchaser under a security agreement; or a person entitled to possession of a vehicle as a lessee pursuant to a written lease agreement, provided such agreement is, at inception, for a period in excess of three months."".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
