AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A WEB-BASED ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM THROUGH THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the museum of fine arts to develop and implement a web-based arts education pilot project based in Hobbs, contingent on the granting of at least twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) in matching funds from other sources. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
