AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CENTER FOR ECONOMICS AND PERSONAL FINANCE EDUCATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 for the center for economics and personal finance education to expand and strengthen its ongoing economics education program, including teacher outreach and training, curriculum development and distribution and programs for high school students and their families in economics and personal finance. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
