AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO CONTRACT FOR AGE-APPROPRIATE EVIDENCE-BASED REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT FOSTER RESPONSIBLE MALE SEXUAL BEHAVIOR.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to contract with a nonprofit organization to provide age-appropriate evidence-based reproductive health education programs that foster responsible male sexual behavior. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
