AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS PROGRAM TO ENGAGE IN WATERSHED RESTORATION PROJECTS IN THE NAVAJO NATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to fund an agreement with a New Mexico not-for-profit corporation for a youth conservation corps program to engage in watershed restoration projects in the Navajo Nation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
