AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING ASSISTANCE FOR NATIVE AMERICANS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2008 to enhance independent living services by removing architectural barriers in homes and purchasing adaptive equipment for Native Americans who are disabled or elderly. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
