SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 710 amends the enabling statute of the Motor Vehicle Code to allow the solid waste
authorities, irrigation districts and mutual domestic water association to receive official
government license plates without obtaining approval Transportation Services Division (TSD)
General Services Department (GSD).
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
GSD reports no significant issues or fiscal implications with HB 710 but does note that SB 427
proposes amendments to the same section of statute which would require TSD to issue (not just
approve) government plates to the executive, legislative and judicial branches.
