SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 967 appropriates $100.0 to the Local Government Division of the Department of
Finance and Administration to plan and design a holocaust museum and cultural center in
downtown Albuquerque.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the
General Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
The New Mexico Holocaust Intolerance Museum is working with the City of Albuquerque to
purchase a new facility. The funds from this appropriation will be used for exhibit upgrades and
improvements to an already existing project. The City of Albuquerque will own the building but
lease the facility to the New Mexico Holocaust Intolerance Museum.
