SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 1049 appropriates $40.0 to provide Mora County grant writing assistance.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $40.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the General
Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
DFA reports that Mora County wants to hire a part or full time employee to research other
funding sources to improve its financial condition. This employee would also help research other
funding sources for the Mora Schools and the health care clinic.
This appropriation would pay for salary and benefits for one regular employee. Currently Mora
County has implemented a 32 hour work week for all employees.
