Synopsis of Bill
House Memorial 30 requests that March 1, 2007 be declared “Central New Mexico Community
College Day".
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
June 2, 2006, Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute changed its name to Central
New Mexico Community College to represent more accurately its mission and service
area;
For more than forty years, Central New Mexico Community College has been serving
hundreds of thousands of individuals and has been improving New Mexicans’ quality of
life with the provision of an education.
Central New Mexico Community College has built a regional and national reputation for
the quality of its training, programs and impact on economic development; and
Central New Mexico Community College has earned state and national awards for
quality.
This bill further requests that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to Central New
Mexico Community College.
