SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 99 appropriates $1,500,000 to Western New Mexico University (WNMU) to expand
the Department of Expressive Arts music program in FY08.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $1.5 million contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General
Fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 2008 shall revert to
the (General Fund
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
This proposal was not submitted to the New Mexico Higher Education Department by WNMU
and was not included in the HED’s funding recommendation for FY08.
