SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Making an Appropriation for an Athlete and Coach Leadership Training Program
Senate Bill 420 appropriates $50.0 from the General Fund in FY08 to the Local Government Di-
vision of the Department of Finance and Administration for an athlete and coach leadership
training program for junior wrestling at Santa Fe High School.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $50.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the General Fund. Any
unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY08 shall revert to the General
Fund.
SIGNIFICANT ISSUES
This program will help to develop coaching and leadership skills to coaches that are working
with the high school on a volunteer basis through classes and training camps. Currently the
school is unable to fund positions for qualified coaches so must rely on parents to help coach.
